What is a Business Angel and do you need one?

We all have a vision in our heads of an angel – the being that came to bring messages of good news and great joy in the nativity story – or the little girl dressed in white with her fluffy halo on her head in the school play. But how does that work in a business context? What is a business angel? “An angel investor is a high net worth individual who makes use of their personal disposable finance and makes their own decision about making the investment.” UK Business Angels Association

Could you be the next crowdfunding success?

Could you be the next crowdfunding success?

Historically, finding funding for your business was a fairly straightforward business. You asked the bank, or you saved up enough money yourself. But in our digital, virtual age, there are far more funding sources on offer. Of course, the bank (or building society) is still an option, but it isn’t suitable for everyone. Small Business Saturday - 1st Dec 2015

Small businesses across the country are poised to maximise a fantastic sales opportunity this Saturday 5th December, on Small Business Saturday. Small Business Saturday started 3 years ago to highlight the vital role that small businesses play on our high streets and in our economy. Small businesses represent a large number of businesses in this country as well as delivering employment, tax revenues and other community benefits. Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots campaign, which sets out to highlight the importance of small businesses and encourage consumers to ‘shop local’, supporting small businesses in their communities. The day itself takes place on the first shopping Saturday in December each year, and falls in contrast to the big discounting by major retailers on the increasing phenomenon of Black Friday weekend at the end of November.

It can be tempting to scrimp on this and simply use your business name or create something yourself but an expertly designed logo can move your business to an entirely more professional and successful level.

Bespoke Christmas Cards For Your Business

Bespoke Christmas Cards For Your Business

With less than 8 weeks to go till Christmas, now is the time to start thinking about how your business is going to celebrate. Thanking your customers with Christmas cards, gifts or entertainment can be a good way to end the year on a positive note – and start 2016 in style. Christmas cards are sometimes a topic of debate. Should you use charitable cards? Or should you go for e-greetings and a charitable donation? There are good arguments for both options however many companies still choose the route of bespoke Christmas cards – allowing you to make a strong branded message as well as a personalised thank you to your customers and suppliers.
