It was a buzzing, action packed day at the Guildford Means Business event this week for the Get Ahead VA team. Rebecca, Leslie and Jane had a busy day chatting to local business owners and entrepreneurs about how using a virtual assistant could transform their business or start up – as well as showing off our new stand. It was our third year exhibiting at the event – and definitely the best yet with a fantastic atmosphere.
The information packed exhibition took place on Wednesday at GLive in Guildford, Surrey and offered visitors the chance to network with local business owners, as well as gain free business advice and support from local organisations and speakers through a variety of seminars including advice on Government Growth vouchers and how business owners could benefit from up to £2,000 to increase their marketing efforts.
It was really refreshing that everyone coming to the stand this year knew exactly what the term ‘virtual assistant’ was all about and had clearly already grasped how it might be able to help their business - from start-ups right through to established businesses from a wide variety of sectors.
We enjoyed making lots of new contacts as well as the opportunity to catch up with some of our clients who were both exhibiting and attending. Surrey is a regional hub for our national business and we are delighted to already support many small businesses and entrepreneurs there.
Since the event we have been busy following up lots of new leads – partly thanks to the very specific enquiry forms we used this year which have enabled us to capture exactly what people were looking for and how we might be able to help. The real quality of leads means we will definitely be exhibiting at the event again next year.
