With 2015 drawing to a close we want to wish everyone Happy New Year and to thank you for your support in 2015.
This year has been another record year for Get Ahead VA. As well as having some top-notch VAs join our team, we’ve also started working with lots of new clients – interior designers, a tailor and a coach to name a few. It’s been an exciting year and we’ve really seen our business expand.
One of our favourite projects was working on the branding and opening of a client's tearoom in Twickenham, with a number of our VAs from different areas of business working together to ensure a seamless launch. Another of our clients secured a contract with Amazon which was really exciting after all the hard work our VA put in on the tender documents.
It’s always interesting to see which of our services is most in demand and topping the list this year is social media. Social media has been a real growth area with many new clients being taken on. Being passionate about social media and what it can achieve for small businesses, we love to have the opportunity to put that passion into practise and deliver tangible results for our clients.
We exhibited at some busy Expos including London, Dorking, Croydon, Guildford, Richmond and Kingston and welcomed a number of new clients as a result – as well as making some useful new contacts. In September we celebrated our fifth anniversary which was a real milestone for the business.
We were excited to be shortlisted for the second year running in the mumandworking awards for our flexible working practises which are so key to our VAs and our clients. Our founder and director Rebecca Newenham was featured in the list of top 50 Businesswomen in Surrey and was invited to go on a business radio show to talk about running a business and raising a family. We even welcomed our first Get Ahead babies to the team so well done to the two mums involved. They may be VAs of the future!
Rebecca said “Our Christmas meal was a real highlight as it was lovely to see so many of our VAs together in one place. Though we all work remotely it’s nice to be able to meet up and for our VAs to spend time getting to know each other face to face. Relationships are both formed and cemented and I enjoyed listening to our VAs discussing clients and sharing experiences.”
After all that hard work we are enjoying a break over Christmas to spend time with friends and family, before 2016 begins in earnest on Monday 4th January.
If you and your business could benefit from the skills of our team of highly experienced VAs in 2016 then give us a call on 01483 332220 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We love to take on the tasks you don’t have time to do, don’t have the skills to do or simply don’t want to do. We pride ourselves on being the staff you don’t see, but the difference you do.
