Areas of expertise: Diary and inbox management; PowerPoint presentations; Excel reports/spreadsheets; hotel and travel arrangements, and arranging visas and corporate hotel rates; creating letters and mailshots; managing LinkedIn profiles and responding on behalf of clients to raise their profile.
What did you do before you joined Get Ahead VA? I worked as a full-time PA to Director of Operations at Aviva Ltd.
Why did you join Get Ahead VA? As a new VA, I needed to gain experience working remotely. After looking at other agencies, I decided Get Ahead VA was right for me as they have offices all over the UK, including one close to me. I found their professional approach to employing a VA was just what I was looking for, and they already had a great, diverse team working for them to back them up.
Career highlight to date: There are quite a few to be honest. I am known to have a ‘can do’ attitude towards my work, so nothing is impossible. One thing I have done is develop an email system that never fails to decrease a manager’s workload so they become more efficient and respond to the important emails first. I trained managers in my last job how to do this. I am also a person who goes the extra mile to get the job done on time, and I pride myself on the fact that I have never missed a deadline.
