Name: Melanie Tremain
Area of expertise: I love lots of aspects of what I do but particular favourites are all things to do with social media, blogs, websites, email marketing and ecommerce. I also love project work and report writing, event organisation and working with clients’ clients.
When & why did you join Get Ahead VA: I joined Get Ahead VA in July 2015 as their philosophy on women working and enjoying seeing their children grow up really matched mine. It is also really good to feel part of a team, sharing experiences and learning from each other.
What did you do before you joined Get Ahead VA: I have been a freelance VA for 10 years. Before that I completed a number of client facing roles in customer service and admin management, in several different industries, giving me a wide base of experience.
Career highlight to date: I was very proud to be involved in arranging a series of fundraising events which contributed to a school being built in West Africa. It was so rewarding to be involved in something that has really made a difference to those children’s lives and will continue to make a difference to the lives of other children in years to come.
Plans for the future: To travel more, renovate a house and do a skydive!
