However, you should also understand that there will never be a moment when you’ve finished everything, so try to think realistically about what is important and what can wait or be delegated. There’s never a perfect time to take a holiday – take one anyway.

A holiday isn’t really a holiday if you’re still checking your work emails or organising your calendar in the evenings. The key is to unplug completely – no work emails, no phone calls, nothing.
